An extension project is any project that requires additional drafting but does not require additional data processing (photogrammetry or lidar). These projects cost less, and can be completed sooner than a standard processing deliverable, because no photogrammetry or lidar processing is required.
When should I request an extension project?
If Aerotas has already processed the data and you only need more drafting on the previously delivered data, an extension project is the right choice. Common examples include expanding the drafted area or adding more drafted scope to a previously delivered project.
Eligibility checks
- Aerotas already processed the original project data
- There is no additional data to upload
- The new KML or KMZ stays within the limits of the previously draftable site data
How to request one
It's as easy as shown in the image above.
- Define the boundary of the area you need drafted. This can be the same area as the original if you're just expanding scope; otherwise, define only the area you need additional drafting on.
- Select "Extension Project" from the input data type list.
- Select the original project from the dropdown menu.
- Select the product and add-ons you'd like for your extension.
